Compliance Officer
Job Description
As a Compliance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the firm's client and matter onboarding processes. Working within a busy Risk & Compliance team, you will help ensure regulatory obligations are met by carrying out client due diligence, assessing risk, conducting conflict checks and assisting with wider compliance initiatives.

- Perform client due diligence and anti-money laundering (AML) checks on new and existing clients. \n
- Review and assess client and matter risk profiles, preparing clear findings and recommendations. \n
- Conduct conflict of interest searches using specialist systems and evaluate search results. \n
- Assist with the resolution of potential conflicts by collaborating with legal teams and senior stakeholders. \n
- Maintain accurate client records and support ongoing monitoring activities. \n
- Escalate higher-risk matters and compliance concerns where appropriate. \n
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on client onboarding and acceptance procedures. \n
- Contribute to departmental projects, process improvements and compliance initiatives. \n
- Keep up to date with regulatory developments and industry best practice. \n
Profile

- Degree educated or able to demonstrate relevant experience within a compliance, risk or regulatory environment. \n
- Previous experience within a law firm would be advantageous. \n
- Understanding of AML regulations, client due diligence and conflicts management. \n
- Exposure to systems such as Intapp, SmartSearch, Orbis or similar platforms would be beneficial. \n
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail. \n
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business. \n
- Organised and capable of managing competing priorities effectively. \n
- Self-motivated with a proactive and solutions-focused approach. \n
- Strong written communication and reporting skills. \n
- Comfortable working independently whilst contributing positively to a team environment. \n
