Senior Estimator – Manchester – Civils/Water Projects - Up to £100,000 salary
\n My client are a Tier one civil engineering and infrastructure specialists in the UK, with over 40 years of experience in providing design, civil engineering and maintenance services working across multiple sectors, including:
\n • Water
\n • Transport
\n • Built environment
\n • Energy
\n Key Responsibilities
\n Lead Estimates
\n • Undertake estimates in accordance with Company procedures.
\n • Lead team of estimators for larger tenders, mentoring and developing junior estimators
\n • Identify opportunities and risks during the tender process.
\n • Maintain tender estimate file.
\n • Provide indicative pricing support for business development.
\n Present estimates at adjudication
\n • Prepare an estimating _adjudication pack.”
\n • Maintain notes of adjudication meetings
\n Handover to site teams at contract award
\n • Prepare estimating handover packs.
\n • Maintain notes of the handover meeting
\n • Provide ongoing support to site teams relating to the estimate and key assumptions.
\n Key Measures and Targets
\n • Winning work to meet the Company's objectives.
\n • Developing a coherent and consistent tender submission with the use of key estimating assumptions
\n • Developing a tender win strategy alongside the business unit teams
\n • Supporting temporary works for tenders and for the design element of design and construct tenders
\n What you will bring:
\n • Engineering background
\n • HNC or equivalent in a related Engineering qualification
\n • Experience in water and civils
\n • Proven track record working on tenders ranging up to £50m
\n • Numerate and IT literate, familiar with estimating software and Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
\n • Chartered, incorporated status or similar
\n • Knowledge of wastewater, rail, or the tunnelling sector – Desirable
