In return, you'll join a business that invests in its people, supports career development and champions a safe, inclusive workplace.We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our team at Tarmac Halecombe Quarry and Asphalt Plant in Frome.The site is easily accessible from Frome, Nunney, Shepton Mallet, Warminster, Trowbridge, Bath, Midsomer Norton, Gillingham,Glastonburyand surrounding areas.Importantly, youdon'tneed extensive industry experience to be successful. We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds and provide training and development opportunities for the right candidate.What you'll be doingReporting to the Section Manager,you'llplay a key role in producing high-quality aggregate materials for the construction industry whilemaintainingthe highest standards of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.Key responsibilities include:Operating mobile and fixed plant equipmentWorking closely with colleagues to ensure customers receive quality materials and on-time deliveriesSupporting the Supervisor in achieving daily and weekly production targetsCarrying out plant inspections, identifying defects and supporting remedial actionsAssisting with planned maintenance activitiesMaximisingplant performance and availabilityMaintaining excellent housekeeping standards across siteFollowing all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and promoting a positive safety cultureWhat we're looking forWe're looking for a motivated team player who enjoys practical work and wants to build a long-term career within a leading organisation.You'llideally have:Experience working within an industrial, manufacturing, production, construction or similar environmentKnowledge of plant operations, ideally within quarrying or mobile plant environmentsGood communication skills and the confidence to raise issues with management when requiredA flexible and proactive approach to workThe ability to work effectively within a multi-skilled teamA strong work ethic and excellent timekeepingBasic IT skillsA full UK drivinglicenceDesirable:ShovelLicenceExperience working within an Asphalt Plant environmentDon't worry if you don't meet every requirement.
