Lead Procurement Manager

Up to £85,000 + 20% Bonus + Excellent Benefits

\n

\n

Are you looking for a Procurement role where you can genuinely influence business strategy, work directly with senior leadership and shape the future of a growing Procurement function?

\n

This is a rare opportunity to join a leading international consumer-facing organisation in a highly visible role with significant commercial exposure. You’ll act as the Procurement lead for a key commercial portfolio, partnering with executive stakeholders to influence strategic decisions, optimise commercial performance and deliver long-term value.

\n

\n

The initial focus will be across Logistics, Distribution and Commercial Services. This is not a traditional product-buying role. Instead, you’ll manage the strategic third-party partnerships that enable customer operations, overseeing a broad portfolio of outsourced service providers, logistics partners and complex commercial agreements that are critical to the organisation’s success.

\n

You’ll work closely with Commercial leadership to develop sourcing strategies, lead complex procurement projects and ensure suppliers continue to deliver innovation, value and exceptional service. The portfolio is varied, commercially challenging and offers exposure to both operational and revenue-generating areas of the business.

\n

\n

The organisation is specifically looking for someone who has worked within Retail, Logistics, Distribution, FMCG, Consumer Goods, Hospitality, Aviation or a similarly fast-paced operational environment. You’ll need to be comfortable getting into the detail of complex contracts, breaking down commercial models, challenging terms and identifying opportunities to improve value, reduce risk and strengthen supplier performance.

\n

\n

What You’ll Be Doing:

\n
    \n
  • Lead end-to-end procurement activity across a strategic commercial portfolio.
  • \n
  • Develop sourcing and category strategies that improve profitability, reduce risk and support long-term business objectives.
  • \n
  • Partner with Executive and senior business leaders, providing commercial advice and procurement expertise.
  • \n
  • Review and break down complex contracts, commercial models and pricing structures to identify risk and value opportunities.
  • \n
  • Lead complex tender processes from market analysis and sourcing strategy through to supplier selection, contract negotiation and implementation.
  • \n
  • Manage high-value supplier relationships, driving performance, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • \n
  • Renegotiate existing agreements and improve commercial terms across the supply base.
  • \n
  • Use market intelligence and commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.
  • \n
  • Drive procurement best practice, governance and continuous improvement across the function.
  • \n
  • Play a key role in shaping the future direction of Procurement within the organisation.
  • \n
\n

\n

You’ll ideally bring:

\n
    \n
  • Proven Procurement experience within Retail, Logistics, Distribution, FMCG, Consumer Goods, Hospitality, Aviation or a similar operationally complex environment.
  • \n
  • Strong experience reviewing, interpreting and renegotiating complex commercial contracts.
  • \n
  • The ability to break down pricing models, service structures and contractual terms to identify savings, risks and commercial opportunities.
  • \n
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with experience managing strategic supplier agreements.
  • \n
  • The confidence and gravitas to influence senior stakeholders and challenge constructively.
  • \n
  • Experience leading end-to-end sourcing projects and managing multiple competing priorities.
  • \n
  • A track record of delivering measurable commercial value and business improvement.
  • \n
  • The ability to work autonomously in a highly visible role while building trusted relationships across the business.
  • \n
\n

\n

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who enjoys operating at a strategic level while still getting into the commercial detail. You’ll work alongside senior leaders on business-critical procurement initiatives, manage high-profile supplier partnerships and take ownership of complex agreements that directly support customer operations and commercial growth. Offering excellent exposure, genuine autonomy and the opportunity to influence the future direction of Procurement within a growing international organisation, this role provides the variety, visibility and long-term career development rarely found at this level.
