Rev & Regs are recruiting for a newly created 'Financial Crime Compliance Risk Assessment Manager' vacancy on behalf of a leading UK Investment Management business.

Role Overview:

\n


\n

The Financial Crime Compliance Risk Assessment Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the Financial Crime Risk Assessment Framework. The role ensures the framework provides a robust, data-driven assessment of exposure to financial crime risks, including money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, bribery and corruption, fraud and tax evasion facilitation.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business and external advisers, the role supports regulatory compliance, informs risk appetite and strengthens the overall financial crime risk management framework.

Key Responsibilities:

    \n
  • Lead the enhancement and ongoing maintenance of the Business-Wide Financial Crime Risk Assessment methodology.
  • \n
  • Develop and maintain the financial crime risk and controls framework, including inherent and residual risk assessments.
  • \n
  • Review and refine risk categories, scoring methodologies, controls and risk indicators.
  • \n
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practice and emerging financial crime risks.
  • \n
  • Produce management information and reporting for senior management, governance committees and the Board.
  • \n
  • Support regulatory reviews, audits and independent assurance activities.
  • \n
  • Maintain robust governance, documentation, quality assurance and framework testing.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with First, Second and Third Line teams and external advisers to drive continuous improvement and provide subject matter expertise.

Required Experience:

\n


\n
    \n
  • Significant experience in Financial Crime Compliance, AML, Risk or Regulatory Compliance within a regulated financial services environment.
  • \n
  • Proven experience developing or enhancing financial crime risk assessment methodologies or Business-Wide Risk Assessments.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of AML, CTF, sanctions and wider financial crime risks, with experience designing risk-based control frameworks.
  • \n
  • Excellent analytical, stakeholder management and report-writing skills.
  • \n
  • Experience in Wealth Management, Private Banking, Asset Management or Trust Services is desirable.
  • \n
  • Professional qualification such as ICA, CISI, IRM or an equivalent financial crime or risk management certification is advantageous.
