Role: Senior Claims Adjuster

Location: London (Hybrid)

Purpose

\n
• Manage a portfolio of complex Property and Specialty claims, providing technical expertise, supporting junior colleagues, and delivering an exceptional claims service within a leading London Market insurer
\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Handle and negotiate complex claims across Property, Binders, Utilities, Political Violence & Terrorism, and Accident & Health classes
\n
• Manage claims from notification through to settlement within delegated authority
\n
• Ensure timely progression of claims in line with internal procedures and customer service standards
\n
• Act as a technical referral point and mentor for less experienced team members
\n
• Build strong relationships with underwriters, brokers, clients, and other key stakeholders
\n
• Provide claims insight to support underwriting decisions and policy interpretation
\n
• Collaborate across claims teams, sharing technical knowledge and supporting wider business initiatives
\n
• Lead or contribute to ad hoc projects and continuous improvement activities
\n

Skills & Experience

\n
• Strong experience handling complex London Market claims
\n
• Property claims experience preferred, particularly Open Market Property and Property Binders; experience in Political Violence, Terrorism, Utilities or Accident & Health also of interest
\n
• Strong understanding of London Market systems (e.g. ECF)
\n
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
\n
• Strong analytical ability with experience using claims data to identify trends and provide insight
\n
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
\n

Qualification

\n
• Dip CII/ACII qualified or working towards professional insurance qualifications prefered
\n
