\nUp to £72,000 plus company package
\nThe Opportunity
\nKenton Black is working with a leading tier-one contractor within the infrastructure sector who is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a portfolio of local authority projects across Bedfordshire.
\nThis is a key commercial role within a well-established infrastructure team, offering the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of civil engineering schemes while managing cost, risk, and stakeholder relationships.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nPromote and maintain a safe working environment at all times
\nPrepare and negotiate subcontract documentation, including terms, pricing, and programmes
\nManage subcontract packages, including interim assessments and change control
\nIssue commercial notices to clients and subcontractors in line with contract requirements
\nManage and assess change events, including compensation event quotations
\nProduce, submit, and agree monthly applications in accordance with contract terms
\nWork closely with operational and engineering teams to ensure accurate site records are maintained
\nPrepare monthly reporting, including Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), and maintain cost plans with accurate forecasting and tracking
\nAbout You
\nStrong understanding and experience working with NEC contracts
\nProficient in IT systems including Excel, Word, and commercial management platforms (e.g. CEMAR, Oracle)
\nRelevant degree or equivalent experience within a commercial environment
\nProven experience on large-scale infrastructure projects or multiple smaller schemes
\nCSCS card (relevant level)
\nExcellent time management and commercial awareness
\nProfessional membership (e.g. MCIOB, MRICS) or working towards this (desirable)
