In-House Counsel

New role to join a established In House Legal team in the Bristol region. (4 or 5 days)

This is a 12 month interim position.

This is a hugely varied role and you will have the opportunity to work widely across a fast growth powerhouse.

As part of an established and brilliantly friendly legal team, responsibilities will include;

• Drafting, negotiating and advising on a variety of commercial agreements.
\n

\n
• Providing legal advice on a range of issues, including but not limited to the cost-effective resolution of contentious matters.
\n

\n
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners.
\n

\n
• Identifying legal risks and communicating these to the Executive for risk acceptance in accordance with established procedures.
\n

\n
• Advising on operational and related issues and providing pragmatic advice on ongoing ad-hoc queries.
\n

\n
• Assisting in the management of other areas including disputes, employment, approving marketing materials, IP and IT
\n

Background required

A qualified solicitor with 2+years post-qualification experience.

We are happy to consider lawyers with a higher pqe if this fits within our budget.

• Commercial contracts experience, ideally in- house;
\n
• Strong commercial acumen and pragmatism;
\n
• A solution focused approach;
\n
• A highly pro-active attitude
\n
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, take initiative and produce work to tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail;
\n
• Strong relationship building skills ad someone who loves to work in great teams.
\n
• Availability to start at short notice
\n

Hybrid working pattern 2 days office per week required.
