HR Services Team Lead
\nLocation: Glasgow (Hybrid)
\nContract: 6 Months
\nWe are looking for an experienced HR Services Team Lead to join a dynamic HR function on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a high-performing HR Services team, ensuring the delivery of an exceptional employee experience while supporting business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
\nThe successful candidate will lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Advisors and Administrators, overseeing the delivery of HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle. You will play a key role in driving service excellence, managing operational performance, and supporting the implementation of key HR initiatives.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Advisors and Administrators. \n
- Plan, prioritise, and manage team workloads to ensure service levels and SLAs are consistently achieved. \n
- Monitor service delivery, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation plans. \n
- Manage first-line escalations relating to HR processes, policies, employee relations, and employment legislation. \n
- Oversee end-to-end payroll activities. \n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders. \n
- Support the successful delivery of HR projects and transformation initiatives. \n
- Lead by example, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture. \n
- Manage the performance, development, and engagement of approximately six direct reports. \n
- Produce and analyse weekly and monthly performance reports. \n
- Review, document, and continuously improve HR processes to enhance efficiency and employee experience. \n
Skills & Experience
\n- \n
- Proven experience leading or supervising HR or shared services teams. \n
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. \n
- Experience delivering against service level agreements (SLAs) and operational KPIs. \n
- Excellent understanding of HR policies, procedures, and UK employment legislation. \n
- Experience handling complex HR queries and employee relations issues professionally and confidentially. \n
- Strong knowledge of HR systems with the ability to extract, analyse, and report on data. \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. \n
- Resilient and adaptable, with experience leading teams through periods of change. \n
- Degree or CIPD qualification is desirable. \n
Key Performance Indicators
\n- \n
- Achievement of SLAs, First Contact Resolution (FCR), and customer experience measures. \n
- Team engagement and performance metrics. \n
- Stakeholder satisfaction, escalations, and customer feedback. \n
- Delivery of HR initiatives and project milestones. \n
