\nThis forward-thinking Pupil Referral Unit in the London Borough of Lambeth is seeking an engaging and resilient SEN STEM Teacher to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. Supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism and complex barriers to learning, the school delivers a broad, practical curriculum that helps students reconnect with education and prepare for life beyond the classroom.\n

SEN STEM Teacher – What the Role Involves\n

  • As an SEN STEM Teacher, you'll deliver engaging, differentiated STEM lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapting learning to meet a range of academic abilities and additional needs.
  • \n
  • You'll use practical projects, problem-solving activities and real-world learning to develop pupils' confidence, resilience and employability skills.
  • \n
  • Working closely with Behaviour Mentors, pastoral staff and external professionals, you'll play a key role in helping students achieve qualifications while preparing them for further education, apprenticeships and employment.

SEN STEM Teacher – What the School is Looking For

  • The ideal SEN STEM Teacher will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), although experienced unqualified teachers and industry professionals with relevant teaching experience will also be considered.
  • \n
  • Previous experience within a PRU, Alternative Provision, SEMH or SEND setting would be advantageous, although strong mainstream teachers looking to transition into specialist education are encouraged to apply.
  • \n
  • The school is seeking a calm, adaptable and creative practitioner who can build positive relationships while maintaining high expectations for every learner.
  • \n
