Building Services Manager

City of London, ENG, GB Full Time

Job Description

Building Services Manager

\n

Lady Eleanor Holles School

\n

Hampton, South West London

\n

£50,000- £55,000

\n

\n

You're the one everyone calls when something goes wrong. Isn't it time you were trusted to lead instead?

\n

\n

You're comfortable in a plant room. You understand compliance. You know when to fix a problem yourself and when it's time to bring in the right contractor.

\n

\n

Now you're ready for more responsibility, more influence and the opportunity to shape how an entire estate is managed.

\n

\n

At Lady Eleanor Holles School, one of the UK's leading independent schools, we're looking for a Building Services Manager to take ownership of our building services, compliance and technical projects across a beautiful 24-acre campus. This is your opportunity to step into a broader management role without losing the technical side of the job you enjoy.

\n

\n

You'll lead planned maintenance, manage contractors, drive statutory compliance and deliver projects that genuinely improve the estate. But this isn't just a desk-bound compliance role. When something unexpected happens, you'll still enjoy getting out on site, solving problems and using your technical knowledge to keep the school running smoothly.

\n

\n

What makes this role different is the team around you. You'll work alongside an Estates Manager who understands building services, a supportive Facilities Manager and an outstanding Maintenance Supervisor. Everyone knows their role, everyone pulls together and everyone takes pride in maintaining an estate that supports one of the country's leading independent schools.

\n

\n

You'll be trusted to make decisions, encouraged to improve how things are done and given the support to succeed.

\n

\n

You might already be a Building Services Engineer, M&E Supervisor, Technical Services Supervisor, Maintenance Manager or Hard Services Facilities Manager who's ready for the next step. We're not looking for someone who knows everything. We're looking for someone who's technically confident, practical, organised and ready to take ownership.

\n

\n

In return, you'll receive a salary of £50,000-£55,000, 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, a 10% employer pension contribution, free lunches, free parking, use of the swimming pool and excellent professional development. Better still, the campus closes for around two weeks over Christmas, with routine checks covered by the caretaking team, giving you an extended festive break without using your annual leave except in exceptional circumstances.

\n

\n

If you've been waiting for the right opportunity to step into leadership without leaving your technical expertise behind, this could be it.

\n

\n

Interested?

\n

If you're ready to move from solving technical problems to shaping how an entire estate is managed, we'd love to hear from you.

\n

\n

To apply, please send your CV to our retained recruitment consultant, Tom Morrison at Sielo Search via [email protected].

\n

\n

If you'd like to find out more before applying, Tom would be happy to arrange a confidential, informal conversation. You can contact him on 07537 162 323 or by email to discuss the role and whether it could be the right next step for you.

\n

\n

Closing date: Friday 14 August, 5:00pm.
