\nLocation: Brize Norton, Oxfordshire (Fully Onsite)
\nRate: £30.00 per hour
\nContract: 12 Months
\nHours: 35 hours per week, worked between 7:00am and 7:00pm (working pattern to be agreed with your manager)
\nWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Material Support Specialist to join a busy aviation maintenance and logistics team based in Brize Norton, Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the availability of critical aircraft materials, supporting maintenance operations and helping to keep fleet activities running efficiently.
\nWorking closely with Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) teams and Part 145 personnel, you will be responsible for managing material demands, resolving supply chain issues and ensuring maintenance programmes are fully supported.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Manage and monitor material demands to support planned and unplanned aircraft maintenance activities. \n
- Maintain operational oversight of all material requirements related to maintenance and technical issues. \n
- Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery activities by providing material support and participating in operational conference calls where required. \n
- Escalate AOG, Work Stop and other high-priority material shortages to ensure timely resolution. \n
- Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders regarding material procurement requirements. \n
- Proactively chase overdue deliveries, resolve missing or incorrect documentation, and escalate unresolved supply issues. \n
- Monitor requisitions and ensure material requests are processed accurately and efficiently. \n
- Attend daily operational briefings and planning meetings to provide updates on material status. \n
- Work collaboratively with maintenance and supply chain teams to minimise operational disruption. \n
About You
\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:
\n- \n
- Previous experience in a Material Support, Supply Chain or Logistics role within an aviation or engineering environment. \n
- Experience using material management systems such as SAP (SP1/HANA), Microsoft Excel and other inventory management tools. \n
- Experience using Maintenance Data Systems (MDS) or similar systems for Part 145 material requisitions. \n
- Knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations. \n
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands. \n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders. \n
- A proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced operational environment. \n
Security Requirements
\nSuccessful applicants must be eligible to obtain BPSS+ clearance prior to starting and be eligible to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance in the future.
