Lead Commercial Lawyer(line management), Leading Financial Services Firm

The Client:

A leading financial services firm are looking for a 6+ PQE* commercial lawyer to join their legal team. Working autonomously, you will be responsible for a range of legal matters across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading a lean team of lawyers, you will be responsible for the following:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, supplier agreements, vendor contracts, and customer terms and conditions.
\n
• Assisting with privacy, employment and other matters as they arise
\n
• Provide assistance with maintaining the legal precedent bank; and assist with providing training to the business on new and ongoing legal and compliance issues
\n
• Provide support to the business on the onboarding of new clients
\n
• Working in multidisciplinary teams across various departments, including product development, marketing, and human resources, ensuring that all business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• The ideal candidate will be a 6+ PQE* Commercial lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm, or financial services firm.
\n
• Experience in the financial institution will be plus but not a strict requirement
\n
• Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
\n
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
\n

*Candidates outside this PQE range with the prerequisite experience would be considered for this role.
