Operations & Commercial Director

A growing engineering-led business is seeking an experienced Operations & Commercial Director to join its senior leadership team and drive the next phase of growth.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead a multi-functional team across Operations, Finance, HR, Purchasing, Logistics and SHEQ, ensuring the business is positioned for continued success through strong leadership, commercial focus and operational excellence.

• Drive profitability through margin improvement, pricing strategy and cost control

• Improve business systems, reporting and KPI management

• Oversee forecasting, operational performance and process improvement initiatives

• Build strong supplier relationships and commercial partnerships

• Support the continued growth of the company's e-commerce offering

• Proven leadership experience within an engineering, manufacturing, technical distribution or related environment

• Strong commercial awareness with experience improving business performance and profitability

• Track record of delivering operational improvements and business efficiencies

• Experience managing multiple business functions and developing high-performing teams

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills

• Data-driven with experience using KPIs, reporting and business systems to support decision making
