Human Factors Specialist BAE Systems, ChristchurchDuration: 12 monthsHourly Rate: £57 PAYE or £76.98 UmbrellaWorking Arrangements: Hybrid Working: Minimum 3 days per week on-sitePlease note that due to the security requirements of this role, you have to be a sole UK National.Key Responsibilities

  • Support the lead Human Factors specialist in integrating Human Factors across the TRINITY design programme
  • \n
  • Facilitate workshops, trials and User-Centred Design activities with end users and key stakeholders
  • \n
  • Assess Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment against system requirements and user needs
  • \n
  • Evaluate prototypes and mock-ups of hardware and software solutions
  • \n
  • Conduct Human Factors analyses including: \n
      \n
    • Task Analysis
    • \n
    • Human Error Analysis
    • \n
    • Usability Assessments
    • \n
    • Workload Assessments
    • \n
  • \n
  • Perform anthropometric assessments and support workspace/workstation design activities
  • \n
  • Support integration testing and verification activities
  • \n
  • Produce technical reports and contribute to customer deliverables
  • \n
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering environment to support system development and integration
  • \n
About You To be considered, you'll ideally have:\n
    \n
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, Engineering or a related discipline
  • \n
  • Registered membership of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors (CIEHF), or eligibility to achieve Chartered status
  • \n
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience applying Human Factors methodologies within Defence or another safety-critical industry
  • \n
  • Strong working knowledge of Def Stan 00-251
  • \n
  • Experience working on complex system integration and development programmes
  • \n
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • \n
