Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment have great pleasure in supporting a well-known, established business, in their recruitment of a Purchase Ledger Clerk/ Finance Assistant. This permanent job, based on the outskirts of St. Asaph offers an opportunity to support the finance function within an established and growing business.
\nAbout the Role:
\nWe are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our busy Finance Department based at their headoffice, reporting into the Finance Team Leader.
\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accounts, processing invoices and payments, and supporting the wider finance and commercial teams to ensure the smooth running of financial operations.
\nYour New Role:
\nFinancial Administration
\n- \n
- Maintain the register daily, ensuring records are accurate and up to date. \n
- Monitor and manage invoices on hold, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries. \n
- Request and track supplier credit notes in collaboration with the Commercial Team. \n
- Set up new accounts in accordance with company procedures. \n
- Process authorised invoices accurately, ensuring correct site codes and cost codes are applied. \n
- Perform ledger reconciliations. \n
- Manage filing, copying and general administrative duties. \n
- Handle incoming correspondence and documentation. \n
- Liaise with internal teams, such as commercial and buying, providing support when required. \n
- Assist colleagues within the Finance Department and wider business as needed. \n
- Answer telephone enquiries professionally and efficiently. \n
- Undertake ad-hoc duties to support business requirements. \n
Systems & Compliance:

- Help maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial information systems. \n
- Ensure accounting records are retained and stored in line with company policies and statutory requirements. \n
- Support compliance with company accounting procedures and financial controls. \n
To be successful in this role, you will:

- Have excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. \n
- Be organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively. \n
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Be confident working with finance systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. \n
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team. \n
- Have previous experience in a finance, accounts payable or administration role (desirable). \n
