\nWe are recruiting for an Assembly Operative / Strip & Clean Operatives to join a leading engineering and manufacturing company within the rail industry.This is a hands-on, physical role working in a dirty and noisy workshop environment, stripping down, cleaning, and refurbishing brake calipers and related components.
\nThis role is ideal for candidates with mechanical, assembly, production, manufacturing, or hands-on experience, as well as those with a strong work ethic looking to develop technical skills. Full training is provided.
\nKey Duties:
\n- \n
- Stripping down brake calipers and mechanical components \n
- Cleaning and refurbishing parts ready for reassembly \n
- Using hand tools to dismantle and rebuild units \n
- Inspecting components for wear and defects \n
- Working in a busy production workshop environment \n
Skills & Experience:
\n- \n
- Mechanical, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred \n
- Experience using hand tools (spanners, torque wrenches, etc.) \n
- Ability to follow instructions and processes \n
- Good attention to detail \n
- Comfortable working in a dirty/noisy workshop environment \n
- Confident using hand tools \n
