We are recruiting for an Assembly Operative / Strip & Clean Operatives to join a leading engineering and manufacturing company within the rail industry.This is a hands-on, physical role working in a dirty and noisy workshop environment, stripping down, cleaning, and refurbishing brake calipers and related components.

This role is ideal for candidates with mechanical, assembly, production, manufacturing, or hands-on experience, as well as those with a strong work ethic looking to develop technical skills. Full training is provided.

Key Duties:

• Stripping down brake calipers and mechanical components
\n
• Cleaning and refurbishing parts ready for reassembly
\n
• Using hand tools to dismantle and rebuild units
\n
• Inspecting components for wear and defects
\n
• Working in a busy production workshop environment
\n

Skills & Experience:

\n
• Mechanical, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred
\n
• Experience using hand tools (spanners, torque wrenches, etc.)
\n
• Ability to follow instructions and processes
\n
• Good attention to detail
\n
• Comfortable working in a dirty/noisy workshop environment
\n
• Confident using hand tools
\n
