Interim CQC Assurance Lead

Rate: £450 umbrella (inside IR35)

Length: Initial 3 months

Based in London, hybrid working 3 days per week onsite

Venn Group is working with a Local Authority in London to recruit an interim CQC Assurance Lead for their Adult Social Care, Integrated Care and Public Health division.

The Council is undertaking an Adult Social Care transformation focused on improving outcomes, promoting independence, and embedding sustainable change for residents. In parallel, in response to the Care Quality Commission’s introduction of a new statutory assurance framework for local authorities, they are continuously preparing for CQC inspection through a structured programme of quality assurance, service improvement, and stakeholder engagement.

The Interim CQC Assurance Lead will:

• Lead elements of the delivery of the Adult Social Care transformation programme, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and measurable impact
\n
• Oversee the CQC Assurance Programme, including the development of a self-assessment, action plan, and inspection readiness activities
\n
• Ensure that Adult Social Care services are high-quality, compliant with CQC standards, and continuously improving
\n
• Maintain momentum across existing workstreams while adapting to evolving priorities and inspection timelines
\n

Required Skills and Experience of the Interim CQC Assurance Lead:

• Experience of preparing for regulatory inspections and developing self-assessment frameworks
\n
• Knowledge of CQC assurance frameworks and adult social care legislation
\n
• Detailed understanding of Safeguarding, Deprivation of Liberty and partnership working
\n
• Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering sustainable improvements
\n
• Holding a professional social work qualification is desirable
