Legal Counsel – Investment Management

London | Hybrid | Permanent

We are working exclusively with an established private investment firm looking to appoint a Legal Counsel as the second lawyer within its growing legal function.

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this is a genuinely broad role offering significant responsibility and exposure from the outset. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the firm, supporting its investment activity as well as the wider legal needs of the business.

The role will include:

• Supporting public and private market investments and corporate transactions
\n
• Advising on investment management, fund, regulatory and compliance matters
\n
• Drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements
\n
• Supporting corporate governance and company secretarial matters
\n
• Advising on employment, operational and philanthropic projects
\n
• Managing external counsel and helping to develop legal processes and best practice
\n

We are looking for an England & Wales qualified lawyer with approximately 3–5 years’ PQE and experience across corporate/M&A, investment funds or financial services. Candidates currently working in private practice or already in-house will be considered.
