\nLocation: Sidcup, Kent or London (Hybrid Working)
\nWe're recruiting on behalf of a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join its growing Building Surveying team.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor who enjoys leading projects, building strong client relationships and delivering high-quality surveying services across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects. You'll play a key role in project delivery while supporting the development of junior team members and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
\nThe Role
\nAs a Senior Building Surveyor, you'll be responsible for delivering a wide range of professional Building Surveying services, including:

- Acting as Contract Administrator on refurbishment and construction projects. \n
- Preparing specifications, schedules of work and technical drawings. \n
- Undertaking Condition Surveys, Dilapidation Surveys, DDA Surveys and defect investigations. \n
- Producing technical reports and advising clients on building defects and building pathology. \n
- Undertaking Party Wall matters and other specialist surveying commissions. \n
- Managing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring quality, programme and commercial objectives are achieved. \n
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors. \n
- Managing client workloads and framework agreements. \n
- Monitoring project performance, budgets and profitability. \n
- Identifying opportunities for new business and supporting business development activities. \n
- Representing the business at client meetings and networking events. \n
- Mentoring and supporting junior surveyors within the team. \n
About You
\nWe're looking for an experienced Building Surveyor who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and client management skills.
\n- \n
- MRICS, MCIOB or an equivalent professional qualification. \n
- A minimum of five years' Building Surveying experience within a consultancy environment. \n
- Strong knowledge of Contract Administration and professional Building Surveying services. \n
- Experience undertaking condition surveys, dilapidations, DDA surveys, defect diagnosis and building pathology investigations. \n
- Experience with Party Wall matters would be advantageous. \n
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage project finances and client expectations. \n
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and report writing skills. \n
- A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to mentor junior team members. \n
- A commitment to continuing professional development in line with RICS requirements. \n
Experience working across housing, education, transport or other public sector projects would be beneficial but is not essential.
