Hydrid role - 2 days per week from London office

\n

\n

A fast-growing M&A advisory practice within a leading transaction services firm is hiring at Director level to help drive the next phase of growth in their London.

\n

\n

This is a client-facing leadership role for someone who thrives across the full deal lifecycle — from originating new business with PE firms and corporate clients through to running complex, multidisciplinary delivery teams on live engagements.

\n

\n

What you'll be doing

\n
    \n
  • Building and deepening relationships with private equity firms, portfolio companies, corporate clients, and strategic acquirers
  • \n
  • Owning the full BD cycle: originating opportunities, shaping proposals, pricing engagements, and negotiating scope
  • \n
  • Acting as executive sponsor on complex engagements — setting direction, ensuring quality, and owning overall delivery
  • \n
  • Advising clients on due diligence, merger integration, carve-outs, separations, and post-close value creation
  • \n
  • Presenting findings and recommendations directly to C-suite, investment committees, and boards
  • \n
  • Assessing operating models and technology landscapes to uncover value creation opportunities
  • \n
  • Running IMO/PMO governance across planning, execution, and risk
  • \n
  • Owning engagement financials — forecasting, staffing, and margin
  • \n
  • Coaching and developing consultants, and playing an active role in recruiting top talent
  • \n
  • Helping shape the practice's tools, methodology, and market proposition as it scales
  • \n
\n

\n

What we're looking for

\n
    \n
  • 10+ years in consulting or industry, with deep experience across M&A, carve-outs, separations, or large transformation programmes
  • \n
  • A strong track record leading complex transaction advisory work — due diligence, integration, separation, or value creation
  • \n
  • PE, corporate development, or strategic acquirer experience is a strong plus
  • \n
  • Demonstrated success building senior client relationships and winning new business
  • \n
  • Comfort owning commercial outcomes: proposals, engagement economics, account growth
  • \n
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and developing future leaders
  • \n
  • Sharp programme management skills — scope, schedule, risk, budget, stakeholders
  • \n
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
  • \n
  • Right to work in the UK, and flexibility to travel (up to 50%)
  • \n
