Senior Data Protection Manager (Interim)

A leading international law firm is looking for a Senior Data Privacy Manager to join its Risk & Compliance function on a 12-month fixed term contract.

You must have experience from a professional services environment, ideally another law firm or Big 4.

This is a senior, visible role where you will shape privacy and data risk strategy, lead key initiatives across the business and act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Act as SME on data protection and privacy risk (GDPR and global frameworks)

• Lead DPIAs and privacy risk assessments

• Oversee risk registers and mitigation plans

• Develop and enhance privacy policies and frameworks

• Lead incident and breach management

• Support ISO 27001 / ISMS alignment

• Engage stakeholders and deliver training across the business

• Support governance around AI and emerging risks

• Lead and develop junior team members

Ideal candidate:

• Strong experience in data privacy and risk within a professional services environment

• Deep knowledge of GDPR and global privacy laws

• Proven experience leading DPIAs, incident response and risk frameworks

• Good understanding of ISO 27001 / ISMS

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
