Shotton Mill is looking for an ambitious and analytical Transport Coordinator to help shape and optimise one of the UK's most dynamic transport operations.

Supporting a logistics network handling 400 HGV movements per day and a £40 million annual transport spend, you'll play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, improving carrier performance, reducing costs, and supporting best-in-class customer service.

What You'll Be Doing

\n

Driving Continuous Improvement

\n

'05; Lead transport continuous improvement initiatives across inbound and outbound logistics

\n

'05; Analyse logistics performance data to identify efficiency, service and cost-saving opportunities

\n

'05; Develop and manage improvement plans across transport operations

\n

'05; Support logistics innovation projects, digitisation initiatives and operational optimisation programmes

\n

'05; Drive best practice across logistics processes, systems and reporting

\n

\n

Logistics & Transport Operations

\n

'05; Coordinate logistics activities with production, warehousing and customer service teams

\n

'05; Monitor carrier performance, delivery lead times and transport service levels

\n

'05; Support routing optimisation, load consolidation and modal selection initiatives

\n

'05; Ensure transport activities remain safe, compliant and environmentally responsible

\n

'05; Support time slot compliance and transport planning performance

\n

\n

Data, Reporting & Performance Management

\n

'05; Produce logistics dashboards, KPI reports and management information

\n

'05; Analyse freight spend, transport costs and performance trends

\n

'05; Utilise Transportation Management Systems and reporting tools to drive operational improvements

\n

'05; Support data-led decision making across the logistics function

\n

'05; Maintain accurate logistics and performance data

\n

\n

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

\n

'05; Support transport tender activities and procurement projects

\n

'05; Evaluate carrier performance and benchmark against market standards

\n

'05; Build strong relationships with hauliers, suppliers and operational stakeholders

\n

'05; Support contract management and service improvement initiatives

\n

'05; Act as a key link between logistics, procurement, production and customer service functions

\n

\n

What We're Looking For

\n

Essential

\n

'14; Minimum 5 years' experience within a senior logistics, transport or supply chain role

\n

'14; Strong understanding of transport operations and logistics performance management

\n

'14; Proven experience using data to drive operational improvements

\n

'14; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

\n

'14; Experience developing KPIs, dashboards and performance reporting

\n

'14; Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

\n

'14; Experience working in fast-paced operational environments

\n

'14; Full UK Driving Licence

\n

\n

Desirable

\n

'14; CIPS, APICS or equivalent Supply Chain qualification

\n

'14; Membership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)

\n

'14; Experience within manufacturing, distribution or FMCG operations

\n

'14; Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

\n

'14; Experience with SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, JDA, Transporeon, Paragon or similar platforms

\n

'14; Lean, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement qualifications

\n

'14; Turkish language skills

\n
