Fire Risk Assessor

We are currently recruiting for a Fire Risk Assessor to join a housing organisation, supporting fire safety compliance across residential properties, communal areas, and HMOs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor with a strong background in housing and fire safety to play a key role in ensuring buildings remain compliant and safe for residents.

The Role:

As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out regular fire risk assessments across residential dwellings and communal areas in line with BS9792 and PAS 79 standards
\n
• Reviewing and auditing third-party fire risk assessments completed by contractors
\n
• Maintaining accurate fire risk assessment records and databases
\n
• Supporting fire safety works and providing technical input when required
\n
• Working closely with the Fire Safety Manager and external fire authority partners
\n
• Ensuring fire safety actions and programmes are delivered within agreed timescales
\n

About You:

The successful candidate will have:

\n
• Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification (or equivalent)
\n
• Previous experience carrying out fire risk inspections and producing detailed reports
\n
• Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and compliance requirements
\n
• Experience working within a housing/residential environment
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
\n

Location:

This is a hybrid role, with travel required across the operating regions including:

London, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
