\nThe Role
\nAs a Contract Manager, you will be a key figure in the supply chain function, managing compensation events, maintaining robust contract records, and ensuring strict compliance with project governance. Supporting the wider commercial team on a landmark nuclear programme, you will ensure that cost records and contractual documentation are accurately controlled throughout the delivery phase.
\nKey Responsibilities:

- NEC3 Administration: Lead the administration of NEC3 contracts from award through to final close-out. \n
- Compensation Events: Manage the end-to-end process, including the assessment and negotiation of quotations. \n
- Cost Analysis: Apply strong Quantity Surveying (QS) skills to validate assumptions, quantities, and rates within supplier submissions. \n
- Baseline Management: Develop and maintain cost baselines to support the evaluation of change and variations. \n
- Performance Monitoring: Track supplier performance against contractual obligations, including cost, safety, and quality. \n
- Risk & Governance: Identify and escalate contract risks while maintaining audit-ready records and correspondence. \n
What We’re Looking For:

- Sector Experience: A strong commercial background within major infrastructure, engineering, or nuclear projects. \n
- Contractual Expertise: Demonstrated experience in administering NEC contracts and managing complex compensation events. \n
- QS Capability: Robust Quantity Surveying skills, including cost analysis, valuation, and change management. \n
- Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Engineering. Membership of RICS (or equivalent) is highly desirable. \n
- Analytical Mindset: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to benchmark costs against market norms. \n
