Employee Relations Partner

Location: Home-based with travel across the North West, North East and Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £50,000

18 Month FTC

We are supporting a large, complex and highly unionised organisation with the appointment of an experienced Employee Relations Partner.

This is a home-based role with regular travel across the North of England. The successful candidate will partner closely with operational leaders, employees and Trade Union representatives, providing practical and commercially focused advice across a broad range of employee relations matters.

Key responsibilities will include managing complex disciplinary, grievance, capability, attendance and performance cases from start to finish, supporting investigations and formal processes, and coaching managers through challenging people matters.

You will also build effective relationships with Trade Union representatives, support consultation and local negotiations, and contribute to organisational change programmes, including restructures, TUPE and changes to terms and conditions.

We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have worked within a highly unionised, operational environment such as transport, logistics, rail, distribution, manufacturing or another regulated sector.

Applicants should have:

• Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases
\n
• Strong experience working with recognised Trade Unions
\n
• A sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
\n
• Experience supporting consultation, negotiation and organisational change
\n
• The ability to influence and coach operational managers
\n
• Experience at Senior HR Advisor, ER Partner, HR Partner or HR Manager level
\n
• CIPD Level 3 or above, or equivalent practical experience
\n
