About the Role

\n


\n

As a Fabricator Welder, you'll be responsible for manufacturing high-quality structural steel components used across a variety of construction and industrial projects. Working from engineering drawings, you'll fabricate, assemble and weld steelwork to exact specifications while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • \n
  • Fabricate and assemble structural steel sections, including UBs, UCs, PFCs and CHSs.
  • \n
  • Carry out cutting, grinding and welding to project specifications.
  • \n
  • Operate fabrication machinery, hand tools and measuring equipment safely and efficiently.
  • \n
  • Ensure all fabricated work meets dimensional and quality standards.
  • \n
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment.
  • \n
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production deadlines.
  • \n
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and wear the appropriate PPE at all times.
  • \n

Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience in structural steel fabrication and welding.
  • \n
  • The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  • \n
  • Strong fabrication, welding and metalworking skills.
  • \n
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • \n
  • A strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality.
  • \n
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • \n
  • A proactive approach to health and safety.
  • \n
  • A recognised fabrication or welding qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • \n
