About the Role
\nWe are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join a purpose-driven housing organisation committed to delivering safe, high-quality homes and excellent services for residents.
\nReporting into the senior Property Services leadership team, you will lead the delivery of statutory compliance across a diverse residential portfolio, ensuring the organisation meets all legal, regulatory and health & safety obligations. \nKey Responsibilities

- Lead the delivery of all landlord statutory compliance programmes, including: \n
- Gas Safety \n
- Electrical Safety \n
- Fire Safety \n
- Water Hygiene \n
- Asbestos Management \n
- Lifts and Mechanical & Electrical compliance \n
- Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and industry best practice. \n
- Develop and implement compliance strategies, policies and performance frameworks. \n
- Manage specialist contractors, ensuring high-quality service delivery, value for money and contractual compliance. \n
- Monitor compliance performance through KPIs, audits and reporting, identifying risks and implementing improvement plans. \n
- Lead on regulatory inspections, internal audits and compliance assurance activities. \n
- Maintain accurate compliance records and provide reports to senior leadership. \n
- Work collaboratively with Asset Management, Repairs and Property Services teams to ensure a joined-up approach to building safety. \n
- Manage budgets effectively while ensuring excellent customer outcomes. \n
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and resident safety. \n
About You
\nWe're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
\n- \n
- Significant experience managing statutory compliance within social housing, local government or a similarly regulated property environment. \n
- Strong technical knowledge of landlord compliance and building safety legislation. \n
- Experience managing contractors and complex compliance contracts. \n
- Excellent understanding of risk management, governance and regulatory compliance. \n
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing and motivating teams. \n
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. \n
- Experience producing performance reports and presenting information to senior leaders. \n
- A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering safe, compliant homes. \n
Desirable
\n- \n
- Relevant professional qualification in Building Surveying, Property, Compliance, Health & Safety or a related discipline. \n
- Membership of a relevant professional body (RICS, CIOB, IWFM, IFE or similar). \n
- Knowledge of the Social Housing Regulatory Framework and Building Safety Act. \n
