Advance TRS is partnering with a growing engineering consultancy to recruit an experienced Structural Principal Engineer / Discipline Head to join their expanding design team.

\n


\n

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Chartered Structural Engineer looking to take on a senior technical leadership role, leading the Structural discipline across complex multidisciplinary infrastructure projects while helping to shape engineering standards, mentor talented engineers and drive technical excellence.

The Opportunity

\n


\n

As the Structural Discipline Head, you'll be the technical authority for structural engineering, leading the design and assurance of major infrastructure projects across regulated sectors, including water, rail, highways, nuclear and energy.

Key Responsibilities

\n


\n
    \n
  • Lead structural engineering design across multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
  • \n
  • Provide technical leadership, governance and design assurance.
  • \n
  • Review and approve calculations, reports, specifications and engineering deliverables.
  • \n
  • Mentor and develop engineers, graduates and technicians.
  • \n
  • Drive engineering standards, quality and continuous improvement.
  • \n
  • Support bids, resource planning and technical proposals.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, CDM regulations and client requirements.
  • \n

About You

\n


\n
    \n
  • 10+ years' structural design experience at Senior or Principal level.
  • \n
  • Experience delivering projects within the UK Water Sector.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of structural design, engineering standards and construction methods.
  • \n
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • \n
  • Previous experience in a Principal Engineer, Technical Authority or Discipline Lead role would be highly advantageous.
