Senior Trademark Counsel (Oral Health)

Contract: 3-4 Month Contract

Location: London (2 days per week onsite)

Rate: Up to £700 per day via Umbrella

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Trademark Counsel to provide strategic intellectual property and trademark support within a global consumer healthcare environment. This is a senior-level position partnering closely with commercial, legal, brand, marketing, innovation, and regional teams to protect and maximise brand value across a global portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted legal advisor on trademark and intellectual property matters.

• Provide strategic counsel on trademarks, copyright, domain names, design rights and related IP issues.

• Develop and execute global trademark strategies.

• Manage clearance, filing, prosecution, enforcement and portfolio management activities.

• Advise on trademark risks associated with new product launches.

• Lead global trademark enforcement and litigation strategies.

• Draft and negotiate trademark-related agreements and licensing arrangements.

• Support M&A, divestitures, joint ventures and restructuring activities.

• Manage external counsel and legal spend.

• Deliver IP training and guidance to business stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Qualified Solicitor (UK) or qualified lawyer in a recognised European or US jurisdiction.

• Significant experience practising intellectual property law.

• Deep expertise in trademark and copyright law.

• Experience managing global trademark portfolios.

• Strong stakeholder management and commercial awareness.

Desirable Experience

• Domain names and online brand protection.

• Design rights.

• Licensing and commercial agreements.

• Privacy and publicity rights matters.

• Consumer healthcare, FMCG or multinational experience.
