\n Pertemps are recruiting an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a busy Facilities team in Gillingham on a temporary assignment.\n
\n
Location: Gillingham, Kent\n
Pay: £17.20 per hour PAYE (paid weekly)\n
Contract: Temporary Assignment (01 September 2026 - 31 October 2026)\n
Hours: 09:00 - 17:00, Monday to Sunday (weekend availability required)\n
\n
\n This Multi Trade Operative role involves carrying out a range of planned and reactive maintenance works across residential and commercial properties. We are looking for a practical, customer-focused individual who can deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance across a variety of trade disciplines.\n

Key Duties of the Multi Trade Operative\n

- General building maintenance and repairs
\n - Basic electrical and plumbing works
\n - Carpentry, painting and decorating
\n - Plastering and tiling repairs
\n - Masonry and external maintenance works
\n - Completing digital job sheets and maintenance records
\n - Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with Health & Safety procedures
\n
- \n
- Previous experience as a Multi Trade Operative, Maintenance Operative, Property Maintenance Technician or similar
\n - Good all-round knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, decorating, plastering, tiling and general building maintenance
\n - Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
\n - Strong communication and customer service skills
\n - Basic IT skills for completing job records
\n - Flexibility to work shifts Monday to Sunday, including weekends
\n

- Relevant trade qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
\n - Experience within housing, facilities management, estates, student accommodation or commercial property environments
\n - Full UK Driving Licence
