Venue sourcing at scale, within a specialist pharma events agency, is a genuinely rare proposition. This newly created Venue Sourcing Manager role is built to give an experienced professional a strategic platform and a team to grow around them.

The Role

Reporting to the Director, the Venue Sourcing Manager will lead the venue sourcing function end to end, line managing a growing team and taking strategic ownership of one of the agency's most commercially significant disciplines.

- Lead congress procurement projects from brief through to confirmation

- Line manage and develop the venue sourcing team, supporting growth and onboarding

- Negotiate rates and contract terms with venues across international markets

- Act as senior client contact, building trusted stakeholder relationships

- Drive process improvement and commercial performance across the function

- Provide destination expertise and venue trend knowledge across the wider agency

The Candidate

The right person for this Venue Sourcing Manager role will bring solid experience in venue sourcing or congress procurement, alongside a genuine appetite for team leadership.

- Background in pharma events or healthcare conference delivery

- Strong grasp of compliance, logistics and delegate experience requirements

- Experience of complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations and confident client-facing work

- Managed or mentored at least one direct report and ready to grow that remit

Experience across international or multi-country congress programmes is beneficial but not essential, as is involvement in new business pitching. What matters most is the ambition to shape something, a collaborative approach and the judgement to operate credibly at a senior level.
