We are seeking a Mail & Distribution Officer to cover a long-term absence. This role involves the delivery and collection of internal mail, print, and IT equipment across Kirklees. The ideal candidate will have experience in mail distribution and fleet operations, and must hold a full and valid driving licence.
\nDay-to-day of the role:

- Deliver and collect internal mail, print, and IT equipment across specified routes in Kirklees. \n
- Handle mail and information sensitively and securely, adhering to confidentiality requirements. \n
- Load, operate, and unload vehicles while complying with Health and Safety regulations. \n
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of council vehicles, ensuring they meet all legal driving and operational standards. \n
- Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Proven experience in sorting and distributing mail. \n
- Knowledge of clean mail processes and efficient mail sorting. \n
- Experience working within a fleet organisation, delivering mail and large packages on fixed and flexible routes. \n
- Demonstrable ability to deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional interpersonal interactions. \n
- Full and valid driving licence is essential, with expected use of a council vehicle (including LGV). \n
