\nJob Type: Temporary- 3-month contract, with potential to extend. Full Time.
\nThe Greater London Authority (GLA) are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join the Business Engagement & International Promotion team at a crucial time for London's growth.
\nAs a Senior Policy Officer, you will play a key role in helping the Mayor of London build and maintain effective relationships with private sector organisations, business representative groups and leading employers across the capital. You will work closely with businesses, stakeholders and partners to support the delivery of the Mayor's priorities for economic development and international business engagement.
\nThis is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands how the public and private sectors operate and can confidently engage with a broad range of stakeholders in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
\n\nDay-to-day of the role:
\nYou will:

- Develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, including senior leaders, industry representatives and government officials. \n
- Support the planning and delivery of high-profile business engagement projects, campaigns and events. \n
- Gather insights on the challenges and opportunities facing London's economy, ensuring business perspectives inform policy development. \n
- Produce high-quality briefings and support for the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Business & Growth. \n
- Work collaboratively across the GLA Group and with external partners to deliver priorities set out in the London Growth Plan. \n
- Support engagement with international businesses, trade missions and partner organisations to help maintain London's position as a leading global destination for business and investment. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Experience of working with, or alongside, both public and private sector organisations, with a strong understanding of their different perspectives and priorities. \n
- Experience engaging, influencing and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. \n
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively. \n
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail. \n
- Knowledge of economic development and business policy, particularly across key sectors of London's economy. \n
- Experience delivering complex, high-profile projects or programmes. \n
