\nLead statutory reporting. Drive audit improvement. Influence financial accounting across a complex international organisation.
\nWe're partnering with a globally recognised international NGO to recruit a Financial Accounting & Audit Manager. This is an outstanding opportunity to take ownership of statutory financial reporting and external audit within a large, complex international environment. Reporting into the Head of Financial Control, you'll lead a specialist financial accounting team whilst working closely with finance colleagues across multiple countries to strengthen reporting, improve audit readiness and embed best practice.
\nThis is far more than a traditional financial accounting role. It offers the opportunity to combine technical accounting expertise, leadership, international stakeholder management and change in a genuinely global organisation.

What you'll do
\n- \n
- Lead the preparation and review of statutory financial statements, trustee reporting and balance sheet reviews. \n
- Manage the annual external audit, acting as the primary contact for auditors and coordinating activity across global finance teams. \n
- Build strong relationships with country finance teams, improving the quality of financial information submitted and supporting them to meet audit requirements. \n
- Review key financial reporting areas including VAT, tax and statutory returns, ensuring robust governance and compliance. \n
- Coach and develop a small financial accounting team, creating capacity through effective delegation and development. \n
- Support the implementation of a new ERP system by shaping future financial accounting processes and controls. \n
What you'll need
\n- \n
- ACA or ACCA qualified with experience leading statutory accounts and external audits. \n
- A collaborative leader who enjoys developing people and building relationships across diverse teams. \n
- Experience improving financial reporting, audit processes or controls within a complex organisation. \n
- The confidence to challenge, influence and work with stakeholders across multiple countries and cultures. \n
- Charity or international experience would be advantageous but isn't essential. \n
