We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our finance team and take ownership of customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances while maintaining strong customer relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesDebtors Analysis Including weekly/monthly reporting of debt with explanationsProviding bad debt provision at month-end with supporting workingsLiaising with all departments when accounts on hold / stopChasing customers for payment - Credit and Cash CustomersLiaising internally and externally to resolve all pricing queries/discrepancies on customer accountsLiaising with sales team to manage customer credit limits, preparing and circulating customer limits and balance weeklyLiaising with shipping department and agreeing release of pumpsMaintaining accurate and up to date customer details and account records contact names, email addresses etc.Allocating payments to customer accounts - Ensuring all customer payment and credit note allocations are correct on the customer accountOverseeing the bank reconciliations and supporting with an variancesReview of the Monthly Top Service ReportContinuously reviewing the credit control processes for efficiencies whilst ensuring that our internal controls at met.Setting up new customers and working with commercial director on allocation of credit limitsAny other duties as requested by your line manager which may include interdepartmental working within financeEssential Skills & ExperienceProven experience in a Credit Controller roleStrong understanding of credit control processes and best practiceConfident, professional communication skills (phone & email)Strong attention to detail and accuracyOrganised and able to prioritise a busy workloadComfortable using finance systems and Excel and a quick learnerAbility to build strong relationships with team members both inside and outside departmentCustomer focused3+ years of experience in a credit control rolePreferableSage 300 knowledgeTPBN1_UKTJ
