Head of NDT Inspection Services

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYAre you an experienced NDT Level 3 professional looking to take the next step into senior leadership?We're supporting a leading aerospace engineering business in the search for a Head of Inspection (NDT) & Maintenance Manager to lead inspection operations, oversee Part 145 maintenance activities, and drive the growth of a highly respected inspection services function.This opportunity would suit someone stepping into their first or second Head of Inspection role, offering the chance to influence strategy, manage a skilled team, and work directly with senior leadership while remaining technically connected to NDT operations.ABOUT THE ROLEAs Head of Inspection, you'll take ownership of the delivery of all inspection activities, ensuring customer commitments, regulatory obligations and quality standards are consistently achieved.You'll lead a team of NDT professionals, support certification and compliance activities, work closely with customers across the aerospace sector, and act as a technical authority within the business.This is a hands-on leadership role, combining operational management, technical oversight, customer engagement and continuous improvement.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead all NDT inspection service delivery activitiesManage team workload, resource planning, leave management and utilisationSupport personnel competency, training and continuation training programmesUndertake and support EN4179 inspection activitiesPerform Responsible Level 3 duties in at least one NDT methodSupport internal, external and customer audits including Nadcap and Part 145 requirementsOversee Part 145 maintenance management responsibilitiesWork closely with Quality, Compliance and Health & Safety teamsSupport commercial activity through quotation review, scope definition and costing exercisesProvide technical support to customers both on-site and remotelyContribute to business growth initiatives and industry eventsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREN4179/NAS410 Level 2 or Level 3 certification in one or more NDT methodsStrong aerospace inspection experience across manufacturing and/or in-service environmentsExperience inspecting metallic and composite structuresExisting leadership, supervisory or team coordination experienceGood understanding of aerospace quality and regulatory environmentsAbility to make sound technical and operational decisionsWillingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationallyPARTICULARLY INTERESTED INCandidates with experience in:Ultrasonic Testing (UT)Phased Array UTEddy Current Testing (ET)Penetrant Testing (PT)Radiographic Testing (RT)Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT)If you're an experienced NDT professional ready to move into a broader leadership position while continuing to utilise your technical expertise, we'd love to hear from you.If you receive suspicious outreach claiming to be from us, please contact us via the ManpowerGroup website.TPBN1_UKTJ
