We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional cleaning standards, supporting our employees, and building strong relationships with our clients.We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated Area Manager to join our growing team.The Role As an Area Manager, you will report directly to the Operations Manager and be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of school cleaning contracts, ensuring our high standards are maintained across all sites. You will support Site Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives, carry out regular quality inspections, train new employees, and ensure all company procedures are followed.This is a hands-on management role that requires excellent organisation, leadership, and communication skills. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and Office Team to ensure contracts are delivered to the highest standard while maintaining excellent customer service for our schools.Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of school cleaning contracts across West Sussex.Carry out regular site inspections and quality audits.Support, motivate, and manage Site Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives.Deliver training and ensure company procedures are followed.Manage employee attendance, performance, and wellbeing.Build and maintain positive relationships with schools and clients.Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.Complete management reports and site documentation.Support the Office Team and Directors with the day-to-day running of contracts.Assist with school deep cleans during holiday periods when required.Essential Requirements Previous management or supervisory experience.Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.Applicants must live within West Sussex.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Strong organisational and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple sites and prioritise workloads.Professional, reliable, and approachable.Good IT skills, including email and Microsoft Office.The successful candidate will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check prior to employment.Please note: This vacancy is only open to applicants who hold a full UK driving licence, have access to their own vehicle, and live within West Sussex.Previous experience within the commercial or school cleaning industry would be an advantage but is not essential.What We Offer £20,000 annual salary (paid on a pro rata basis).Monday to Friday, 3:00pm 9:00pm.Permanent, term time plus scheduled school deep cleans during school holiday periods.Annual leave entitlement is included within your pro rata salary.Company pension.Business mileage paid monthly for travel between company sites.Full training and ongoing support.Career progression opportunities within a growing business.Friendly and supportive management team.If you are looking for a rewarding management role where you can make a real difference and help maintain high standards across our school contracts, we would love to hear from youTPBN1_UKTJ
