\nAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a paralegal in the corporate and private equity department of a top US firm.
\nThe Firm
\nThe firm are top tier in the US and have been growing their London office. In the past two years they have doubled in size and have attracted partners from Magic Circle and other top US firms.
\nThe Department
\nThe corporate department specialises in Private Equity and mergers & acquisitions and work with some really interesting clients and on high profile deals.
\nThe department is diverse and are really friendly and approachable and it is a great environment to work in. You will join two other paralegals in the department and sit with the associates so are really integrated with the team.
\nThe Role
\nThe paralegal role is varied and will include the usual paralegal duties as well as tasks more akin to a trainee. These may include:
\n- \n
- Document management (pre and post completion) \n
- Compiling transaction bibles (hard copy and E bibles) \n
- Conducing due diligence \n
- Company secretarial support (Companies House Filings, drafting board minutes and written resolutions of directors and shareholders) \n
- Verification exercises \n
- Assisting with signings \n
- Data room management \n
- Legal research \n
The Requirements
\nExcellent academics are essential and ideally you will have completed the LPC/SQE with relevant corporate electives. Some corporate paralegal experience is required, but they are flexible to what type of firm this has been at (US, City or Regional).
\nThe role may particularly suit a future trainee who is starting next year or later.
\nIt also has the potential to be extended and the firm are great at offering their paralegals training contracts.
