MJ Quinn Energy and Critical Infrastructure division is a multi-disciplined integrated service provider headquartered in Liverpool. Specialising in the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, our expertise includes energy-efficient solutions like LED lighting, adiabatic and CRAC cooling units, air source heating, solar PV systems, and battery storage.

Role:

\n

The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of electrical project works across Energy projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and commercially successful execution.

\n

The role will manage programme, cost, quality, and resources, whilst acting as a key interface between clients, internal teams, and supply chain partners.

\n

The position reports to the Head of Electrical Services

\n

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

Manage the day-to-day delivery of electrical works across allocated projects.

\n

Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements.

\n

Develop, monitor, and maintain detailed project programmes and delivery plans.

\n

Identify risks to programme and implement mitigation strategies.

\n

Coordinate all construction activities to ensure alignment with the overall project plan.

\n

Maintain ownership of commercial performance of projects, including cost control and forecasting.

\n

Ensure compliance with contract conditions (JCT / NEC 4 where applicable).

\n

Produce regular commercial reports and updates for senior management.

\n

Oversee and validate electrical design, installation, and commissioning activities

\n

Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards (BS7671, relevant electrical regulations)

\n

Support design development, including review of drawings and technical submissions, value engineering opportunities

\n

Ensure all systems are properly tested, commissioned, and documented.

\n

Lead and manage, Site Supervisors, Direct labour, Subcontractors and suppliers

\n

Ensure effective resource planning and allocation.

\n

Monitor supply chain performance in relation to Programme, Quality, Safety compliance

\n

\n

Candidate Requirements:

\n

HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Building Services Engineering desirable

\n

Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

\n

Experience in multi-project environments or large-scale programmes.

\n

SMSTS or equivalent Health & Safety qualification

\n

Full UK Driving Licence.

\n

SMSTS certification desirable

\n

First Aid essential

\n

IOSH/NEBOSH desirable.

\n

Strong leadership and organisational skills.

\n

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

\n

Proficiency in MS Project and site management tools.

\n
