\nDEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
\nMJ Quinn Energy and Critical Infrastructure division is a multi-disciplined integrated service provider headquartered in Liverpool. Specialising in the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, our expertise includes energy-efficient solutions like LED lighting, adiabatic and CRAC cooling units, air source heating, solar PV systems, and battery storage.
\nRole:
\nThe Electrical Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of electrical project works across Energy projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and commercially successful execution.
\nThe role will manage programme, cost, quality, and resources, whilst acting as a key interface between clients, internal teams, and supply chain partners.
\nThe position reports to the Head of Electrical Services
\nResponsibilities:
\nManage the day-to-day delivery of electrical works across allocated projects.
\nEnsure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements.
\nDevelop, monitor, and maintain detailed project programmes and delivery plans.
\nIdentify risks to programme and implement mitigation strategies.
\nCoordinate all construction activities to ensure alignment with the overall project plan.
\nMaintain ownership of commercial performance of projects, including cost control and forecasting.
\nEnsure compliance with contract conditions (JCT / NEC 4 where applicable).
\nProduce regular commercial reports and updates for senior management.
\nOversee and validate electrical design, installation, and commissioning activities
\nEnsure compliance with project specifications, industry standards (BS7671, relevant electrical regulations)
\nSupport design development, including review of drawings and technical submissions, value engineering opportunities
\nEnsure all systems are properly tested, commissioned, and documented.
\nLead and manage, Site Supervisors, Direct labour, Subcontractors and suppliers
\nEnsure effective resource planning and allocation.
\nMonitor supply chain performance in relation to Programme, Quality, Safety compliance
\nCandidate Requirements:
\nHNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Building Services Engineering desirable
\nRelevant electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
\nExperience in multi-project environments or large-scale programmes.
\nSMSTS or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
\nFull UK Driving Licence.
\nSMSTS certification desirable
\nFirst Aid essential
\nIOSH/NEBOSH desirable.
\nStrong leadership and organisational skills.
\nExcellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
\nProficiency in MS Project and site management tools.
