\nSenior Quantity Surveyor – Marine & Civil Engineering
\nA leading marine and civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of marine, coastal, harbour, and infrastructure projects across the UK.
\nThe Role
\nThe Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of complex marine and civil engineering schemes, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Managing the commercial performance of multiple marine and infrastructure projects \n
- Preparing cost plans, valuations, variations, and final accounts \n
- Administering subcontractor packages and procurement processes \n
- Producing accurate financial reporting and forecasts \n
- Managing NEC and/or JCT contracts \n
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities \n
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff \n
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure commercial success \n
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners \n
Candidate Requirements
\n- \n
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within marine, civil engineering, infrastructure, or heavy construction sectors \n
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts \n
- Experience managing complex infrastructure or marine-based projects desirable \n
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills \n
- Strong financial and analytical capabilities \n
- Ability to work independently and lead commercial activities across projects \n
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferred \n
- Professional membership (RICS/CICES or similar) advantageous \n
