\nWe are supporting an established high-end main contractor with the appointment of an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join its Central London team.
\nThis is a hands-on commercial position with genuine ownership of substantial mechanical, electrical and public-health packages, from procurement and subcontract award through to variations, monthly reporting and final account.
\n🔧 What you will be doing
\n📊 Owning the commercial performance of MEP packages
\n💷 Producing monthly CVRs, forecasts, cash-flow and cost reports
\n📨 Preparing subcontractor tender enquiries
\n🔍 Completing tender comparisons, levelling and risk reviews
\n🤝 Negotiating terms and placing MEP subcontracts
\n📑 Administering contracts under JCT Design and Build
\n🧾 Assessing subcontractor applications and issuing payment notices
\n🔄 Pricing, negotiating and agreeing variations and instructions
\n&A0;️ Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and value-engineering options
\n🏁 Managing packages through to final-account agreement
\n🏗️ Working closely with MEP managers, project teams, consultants and subcontractors
\n👥 Supporting junior members of the commercial team
\n🎯 What we are looking for
\n'05; At least three years of MEP commercial experience
\n'05; Main-contractor, developer-contractor or MEP-subcontractor background
\n'05; Experience independently managing mechanical, electrical or combined MEP packages
\n'05; Strong knowledge of JCT Design and Build contracts and subcontracts
\n'05; Hands-on procurement and tendering experience
\n'05; Experience with CVRs, forecasting and cost-value reconciliation
\n'05; Knowledge of payments, payment notices, variations and final accounts
\n'05; Construction, Quantity Surveying or Building Services qualification
\n'05; Strong Excel, commercial and communication skills
\n'05; Able to work site-based in Central London

\n🏨 High-end residential, hospitality, healthcare or major commercial experience
\n💰 Projects above £30 million or MEP packages above £4 million
\n📐 Bluebeam or AutoCAD knowledge
\n📊 Earned-value reporting experience
\n👷 Experience supporting or mentoring junior surveyors
\n🕒 Working pattern
\nThis is a site-based Central London role, typically operating from 8:00am to 6:00pm, with occasional Saturday requirements.
