Clinical Negligence Senior Solicitor - Cardiff - Up to £80,000

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Senior Solicitor to join a specialist healthcare litigation team in Cardiff.

The Clinical Negligence Senior Solicitor will act for major healthcare organisations and public sector bodies on complex, high-value defendant clinical negligence matters in Cardiff, managing their own caseload while working closely with senior lawyers and healthcare professionals.

The Role:

\n
• Manage a caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims, including pre-litigated and litigated matters
\n
• Act on behalf of healthcare organisations and public sector bodies
\n
• Conduct detailed investigations to assess liability and quantum
\n
• Draft key legal documents including pleadings, reports and correspondence
\n
• Liaise with clients, claimants, counsel, experts and other stakeholders
\n
• Maintain accurate case records, key dates and action plans
\n
• Contribute to client development, networking and training initiatives
\n
• Ensure compliance with client protocols, regulatory requirements and internal procedures
\n

About You:

\n
• Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years PQE in clinical negligence or healthcare litigation
\n
• Experience handling defendant clinical negligence claims (claimant experience also considered)
\n
• Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processes
\n
• Ability to manage a varied caseload of complex and high-value matters
\n
• Strong analytical and investigative skills when reviewing medical evidence
\n
• Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
\n
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with clients, counsel, experts and stakeholders
\n
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
\n
