About the Opportunity
\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager / Senior Resident Civil Engineer to join a leading organisation delivering major energy infrastructure projects in Scotland.
\nThis role will initially be based on a large-scale onshore wind farm project in Northern Scotland, with additional projects in Scotland moving towards construction in the near future. The position can be offered on a fixed-term or permanent contract basis.
\nPlease note: This position does not qualify as an Outside IR35 contract opportunity.
\nThe Role
\nYou will be responsible for overseeing contractor activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
\nWorking closely with project managers, design teams, commercial specialists and other stakeholders, you will play a key role in successful project delivery from construction through to commissioning.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee contractors delivering large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure projects. \n
- Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance on site. \n
- Manage contract administration and monitor construction progress against programme and budget. \n
- Coordinate site activities with project teams, consultants, stakeholders and contractors. \n
- Identify, manage and resolve construction risks and site issues. \n
- Produce progress reports and maintain accurate project documentation. \n
Person Specification
\n- \n
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. \n
- Significant experience managing construction sites within infrastructure, utilities, energy or industrial sectors. \n
- Strong understanding of contract management and administration, including FIDIC forms of contract. \n
- Proven ability to deliver complex construction projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard. \n
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and reporting skills. \n
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. \n
- Full driving licence and willingness to work on site-based projects. \n
Desirable
\n- \n
- Previous experience in a Site Manager or Resident Engineer capacity. \n
- Chartered Engineer status or progress towards chartership. \n
- Project Management qualification. \n
- Experience in renewable energy, power generation or other major infrastructure environments. \n
