\nMatch Bingo is a licensed gambling operator regulated by the UK Gambling Commission.
\nEverything we do – from acquiring players and running games to managing customer funds
\n– operates within a detailed regulatory framework.
\nAs the business grows, we're looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to oversee
\nour day-to-day compliance responsibilities, ensure we continue to meet our regulatory
\nobligations, and help embed compliance into the way we operate.
\nYou'll be supported by an experienced gambling lawyer who provides specialist legal and
\nregulatory advice when required, but you'll take ownership of the compliance function on a
\nday-to-day basis.
\nThis is a part-time role (up to three days per week) reporting directly to the CEO.
\nWhat you'll be doing
\nRegulatory compliance
\n%CF; Manage the company's compliance with the UK Gambling Commission's Licence
\nConditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP).
\n%CF; Prepare and submit all regulatory returns, key event notifications and other statutory
\nfilings on time.
\n%CF; Monitor regulatory developments and update policies and procedures where
\nnecessary.
\n%CF; Act as the day-to-day contact for the UK Gambling Commission.
\nSafer gambling
\n%CF; Maintain and continually improve our safer gambling framework, including
\naffordability assessments, customer interaction processes, self-exclusion, reality
\nchecks and deposit limits.
\n%CF; Ensure compliance with the LCCP and Remote Technical Standards (RTS).
\n%CF; Review customer cases where intervention may be required and support operational
\nteams with appropriate actions.
\n%CF; Deliver safer gambling training across the business.
\nAnti-money laundering
\n%CF; Maintain the company's AML and Counter Terrorist Financing policies in line with
\nUKGC expectations and current guidance.
\n%CF; Oversee customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, PEP and sanctions
\nscreening.
\n%CF; Review and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) where appropriate.
\n%CF; Ensure compliance with the Proceeds of Crime Act and Money Laundering
\nRegulations.
\nKYC and age verification
\n%CF; Ensure robust age and identity verification processes remain effective and compliant.
\n%CF; Work closely with Engineering and Operations to ensure systems and processes
\ncontinue to meet regulatory requirements.
\nMarketing compliance
\n%CF; Review marketing campaigns and promotional material to ensure compliance with
\nUKGC guidance and the CAP and BCAP Codes.
\n%CF; Ensure promotional terms and conditions are clear, fair and compliant.
\n%CF; Support the Head of Growth & Retention on marketing compliance and regulatory
\ndevelopments.
\nData protection
\n%CF; Act as the company's Data Protection lead.
\n%CF; Maintain compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
\n%CF; Keep the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) up to date.
\n%CF; Manage data subject requests and any data breach reporting requirements.
\nInformation security
\n%CF; Maintain our ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS), ensuring
\npolicies, controls and documentation remain current.
\n%CF; Manage surveillance audits and recertification activities, acting as the primary contact
\nfor external auditors.
\n%CF; Maintain the information security risk register and ensure agreed actions are
\ncompleted.
\n%CF; Commission annual penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, working with
\nEngineering to ensure identified issues are addressed appropriately.
\n%CF; Support the ongoing development of information security awareness across the
\nbusiness.
\nExternal relationships
\n%CF; Work with our lawyer on complex legal or regulatory matters requiring specialist
\nadvice.
\n%CF; Liaise with external auditors, testing laboratories and dispute resolution providers
\nwhere required.
\nAbout you
\nYou'll ideally bring the following:
\n%CF; Strong knowledge of the UK Gambling Commission's regulatory framework and
\npractical experience of applying it within an online gambling business.
\n%CF; A pragmatic approach to compliance. You understand how to manage risk without
\ncreating unnecessary bureaucracy, and you're comfortable finding practical solutions
\nthat work for both the regulator and the business.
\n%CF; Confidence to challenge where necessary. You'll occasionally need to advise against
\na proposal or recommend changes, and you're able to do so constructively.
\n%CF; The ability to work independently. This is a standalone role, so you'll be comfortable
\nmanaging your own priorities while keeping the CEO informed of significant issues.
\nWhat we're looking for
\nEssential
\n%CF; Experience in a compliance role within a UK Gambling Commission licensed
\noperator, ideally in remote gambling.
\n%CF; Strong working knowledge of the LCCP, Remote Technical Standards and the wider
\nUK regulatory framework.
\n%CF; Experience managing AML and CTF programmes, including customer due diligence,
\nSARs and staff training.
\n%CF; Experience overseeing safer gambling processes, including affordability, customer
\ninteraction and self-exclusion.
\n%CF; Experience managing or maintaining an ISO 27001 Information Security
\nManagement System, including audit programmes, risk management and penetration
\ntesting.
\n%CF; Comfortable working independently with regular access to senior management.
\n%CF; Availability to work up to three days per week, with flexibility around regulatory
\ndeadlines and business needs.
\nDesirable
\n%CF; ICA Certificate or Diploma in Compliance, AML or a related discipline.
\n%CF; Experience of GamStop and the National Self-Exclusion Scheme.
\n%CF; Experience within online bingo or other remote gambling products.
\n%CF; Data protection qualification such as CIPP/E or the BCS Certificate in Data Protection.

\n%CF; £40,000–£55,000 pro rata (based on three days per week)
