Location: South Birmingham/Remote

Salary: up to £75,000 plus Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Works Design Engineer to join a fast-paced and dynamic team. This role involves working on a variety of projects related to abnormal load transportation and installation solutions across the UK

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and check temporary structure designs, including calculations, drawings, and design certificates.
\n
• Conduct structural analysis of existing equipment to ensure compliance with safety and design standards.
\n
• Design modifications to existing equipment and develop new designs as required.
\n
• Produce detailed drawings suitable for manufacturing.
\n

1. Assist with estimating by obtaining or providing pricing information.

Qualifications & Skills:

\n
• BEng/MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
\n
• Minimum 3 years of experience, ideally with a mix of site and design office exposure, particularly in Temporary Works Design.
\n
• Incorporated/Chartered or working towards professional qualification.
\n
• Proficient in structural analysis and CAD software (e.g. Tekla TEDDS, STAAD Pro, AutoCAD).
\n
• Working knowledge of BS 5975 and experience with steelwork and timber codes.
\n
• Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
\n
• Full UK driving licence.
\n
