Principal Medical Writer

pobl. is an independent talent consultancy specialising in medical communications. We're working with a boutique med comms agency split between Chester and Rome to recruit a Principal Medical Writer. You'll lead scientific work across commercial strategy and medical affairs, managing European advisory boards and standalone client meetings.

This is a role for someone who's led at this level before in an agency setting. You'll move between commercial and medical affairs work, moderate ad boards across Europe, and travel to Rome a few times a year. It's hybrid working (2–3 days per week in office), with regular client travel.

This is a permanent position for someone with proven agency experience in a similar senior medical writing role.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead scientific strategy and content delivery across commercial brand and marketing accounts

• Manage medical affairs work and act as senior scientific lead on client relationships

• Lead and moderate European advisory boards and standalone client meetings

What We're Looking For

• An academic background in biological sciences (MSc or PhD preferred) with substantial medical writing experience in a medical communications agency

• Proven ability to work across both commercial and medical affairs contexts, and experience leading advisory boards

• Exceptional scientific judgement, strong leadership presence, and flexibility for European travel as required
