Town Planner (c.2 Years' Experience)
\nLocation: Derby (Hybrid Working Available)
\nAre you an ambitious Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a motivated planner with around two years of consultancy experience to join our growing team in Derby.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the minerals, waste, commercial and residential sectors, supporting clients through every stage of the planning process while developing your technical expertise within a collaborative and supportive consultancy environment.
\nAbout the Role
\nAs a Town Planner, you'll work alongside experienced planning professionals on a wide range of projects, helping to deliver high-quality planning advice and successful planning outcomes for private and public sector clients.
\nYour responsibilities will include:
\n- \n
- Preparing planning applications, supporting statements and planning appraisals. \n
- Managing planning applications through to determination. \n
- Undertaking planning policy and site research. \n
- Liaising with local planning authorities, consultees and clients. \n
- Assisting with planning appeals and representations. \n
- Supporting project management and client communications. \n
- Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships. \n
About You
\nWe're looking for someone who has:
\n- \n
- Around two years' professional experience in a planning consultancy or similar environment. \n
- A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline. \n
- Progress towards, or an interest in achieving, MRTPI status. \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \n
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects. \n
- A proactive, positive and collaborative approach to work. \n
- A full UK driving licence (preferred). \n
