- Experience using Sage Line 50 or similar accounting software. \n
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and What-If Analysis. \n
- Previous customer service or stakeholder management experience. \n
- Candidates based within a reasonable commuting distance of the EC1 postcode area would be advantageous. \n
Key Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Process and maintain accurate financial transactions across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), sales, purchases, and inventory movements. \n
- Prepare and process supplier payment runs (weekly, fortnightly, and monthly), including ad hoc and sundry payments, ensuring accurate allocation within Sage Line 50. \n
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through timely and accurate transaction processing. \n
- Perform bank, supplier, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations, including multi-currency transactions (USD and EUR), investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly. \n
- Maintain supporting schedules and documentation to ensure effective balance sheet control and accurate financial records. \n
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis. \n
- Monitor cash flow and support effective cash management and liquidity planning. \n
- Prepare VAT returns, statutory filings, and audit schedules, providing supporting documentation for internal and external audits. \n
- Produce KPI reports and provide ad hoc financial analysis and support as required. \n
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. \n
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers, customers, banks, auditors, and internal stakeholders, resolving financial queries efficiently. \n
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting efficiency, and internal controls. \n
