About the Role

Due to continued business growth, our client, a well-established and respected Freight Forwarder, is looking to recruit an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their busy Birmingham office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a freight forwarding professional with experience managing import, export and cross trade shipments who enjoys delivering outstanding customer service and working in a fast-paced logistics environment.

What You'll Do

As a Logistics Coordinator, you'll be responsible for managing shipments from booking through to final delivery, ensuring a smooth and compliant service for customers.

Main Responsibilities

\n
• Manage import, export and cross trade shipments from start to finish
\n
• Prepare quotations and pricing for customer shipments
\n
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, overseas agents and suppliers
\n
• Arrange collections, deliveries and transport solutions
\n
• Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and compliant with customs regulations
\n
• Input and maintain shipment data using CargoWise
\n
• Process supplier invoices and liaise with the accounts department where required
\n
• Resolve any shipment or transport issues promptly and professionally
\n
• Provide regular shipment updates and deliver exceptional customer service throughout
\n

What We're Looking For

\n
• Minimum of 2 years' experience within Freight Forwarding or Logistics
\n
• Experience handling import, export and cross trade shipments
\n
• Good understanding of CDS customs procedures and Incoterms
\n
• CargoWise experience would be highly advantageous
\n
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
\n
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
\n
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
\n
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
\n
